The teardrop shape of a bank sinker allows it to anchor securely on the sandy or muddy bottoms, preventing it from rolling or being swept away by currents or waves and remains in the desired fishing zone. The smooth tear drop shape allows the sinker to roll which keeps snags to a minimum and allows the weight to drop straight with little resistance.
